W7 Bronze Queen Review

Your Beauty Gossip
I picked this palette up on a weekend down home, when I forgot to bring some make-up with me and €5 I knew I couldn’t go wrong. The packaging on this palette is a heavy plastic which to me is a lot better than the usual tin packaging that’s on the “In the Nude/Buff “palettes. It also has a descent mirror believe it or not, a double ended brush and sponge tip applicator.

When I first picked the palette up, it reminded me of another brand and at the time I just couldn’t think which one and then it came to me, the Bobbi Brown Warm Eye Makeup Palette, I guess you could say the W7 Bronze Queen Fantasy Bronze Eye Palette is a dupe for the Bobbi Brown right down to the shades, layout and the luxury packaging with it's gold lettering.

There are 7 Shades in this palette with 5 matte, 1 shimmer and 1 glitter all the shades are a warm natural shade which is perfect for Autumn/Winter.

The first shade is not very pigmented which was a little disappointing but the remainder were good and as always using a good eye primer brings the colouring out more. There is a lot of fallout from this palette which was not new to me as this seems to be the same with all W7 eye palettes but this one seemed to have that little be more, so be prepared for that.

The matte shades aren’t matte, matte if you know what I mean, there is a very slight sheen from them that is only noticeable under a strong light. The shimmer shade has a lovely soft sheen to it which I loved, while the glitter shade was a little gritty and needed lots of building to get a good pigmented glitter effect, so applying with the finger tips helped or dampen your makeup brush first and this makes it a little easier to work with.

Over all for the price of this palette its ok and does the job when you’re stuck like I was. There are 3 if not 4 shades I would use every day if the fallout wasn’t so bad.

What are your thoughts on the budget friendly brands and dupes?
