Artistry Little Black Dress Eye Palette Review

Your Beauty Gossip
I love when I’m given the opportunity to try news products or brands that I would normally not go for or even heard off, so when this little beautie along with some lippie landed on the door mat I was eager to give it ago.

Your Beauty Gossip
Artistry Little Black Dress eye palette is a custom designed limited edition compact containing 8 eyes shadows which are mainly shimmers raging from pink to berry, and grey to black with a double ended brush (which is not worth mentioning).

The packaging alone is elegant but heavy in the hand. Covered in a black leather reptile look with a golden "A" emblem, making it quite expensive looking. It has a large mirror and magnetic closure, perfect to throw into any bag safely.

The 8 shades complement each other making them very versatile in creating both day and night time looks.
                ·         Pearl – Translucent, lustrous, glimmering white (shimmer)
          ·         Candlelight – Medium dusty mauve (shimmer)
          ·         Evening Out – Medium hazy steel grey (shimmer)
          ·         Midnight – Medium satiny berry (luster)
          ·         Little Black Dress -Deep classic black with sparkle (shimmer)
          ·         Glamour – Deep dramatic plum (matte)
          ·         Stiletto – Light pewter with metallic shimmer (luster)
          ·         Sequin – Pale pearly pink (shimmer)

The pigmentation wasn’t great when I switched them on the back of my hand, but once applied with a good primer the colours were amazing except for the two lighter shades (Pearl and Sequin), these were very hard to see no matter how much I build them up. I was expecting a more creamy texture to these shadows (don’t ask me why), but instead found them to be powdery with little to no fallout.

Over all I quite liked the look and feel of this palette, was able to create different looks with the colours instead of my normal brown, natural shades that I always go for. In all honestly and I have always said “my reviews would be honest and true”. I would NOT pay €57.70 for it, to me this price is crazy to pay for a brand that is not up there with the more high ended names that we are more used to paying top dollars for and that would be the one and only fault I find with this little gem and it’s a pity really.

Little Black Dress is available and exclusively from Amway Ireland.
